PB’s Premium Theme Giveaway!

Okay people listen up and listen up good! I’ve been asking for help since almost day one and I’ve gotten so few responses it’s pathetic! I was giving away free hosting for a year to someone who could help me figure out how to give away a conference ticket worth almost $1,000.00! I mean c’mon people, I can’t give away stuff… to help me giveaway more stuff to save my life. So, let me try this baby out… How about a free premium WordPress theme?
Here’s the deal…
So you’re interested in getting a free WordPress theme from your pal PB right? Well I thought you would! So here is the deal… Bryan has recently enlightened me to a whole new way of looking at online investing. His formula is to create assets from liabilities. Assests make you money, and liabilities cost you money… pretty simple right. But the most interesting point he made is that subscribers are worth about $18.00 each. I have no clue how that number comes about, but if you’re curious, head on over to his site and ask.
Knowing that figure, and looking at my current subscriber list via feedburner I’d say this blog is worth about… $18.00 thanks to my man Affiliate Post who is the ONLY subscriber I’ve managed to earn… and here I thought you guys were diggin it? I know I’ve got some subscribers in various readers… but I need some e-mail subscriptions to build up the value of my “investment” and I’ll hook you up with a killer theme (I love great design)… for the help. Are we on the same page? Good!

Okay so if you haven’t got my drift, here it is in plain English for ya.
One random “FEEDBURNER” subscriber will earn his or her choice of premium themes found on my premium themes page.
One random “LinkBack” or “Trackback” with a post written about how cool this blog is will get you hooked up with another chance to get a killer design.
Yes. I said not one, but two people will win the premium theme of their choice. That means if you subscribe, and write an awesome post that you KNOW I’ll appreciate… you’ve got twice the chance of winning. I don’t need posts talking about the “contest” directly… but it might be a good idea. As long as you link it to this post and say something that might make me blush… I’m cool with it!
How long will this thing last… Hmmm how about two weeks? That gives you plenty of time to spam all your friend’s blogs… Kidding… and me time to figure out the next bit of awesomeness I’m going to give away. So… June 28th, 2008 at midnight… it’s all over people. I’ll video tape the random drawing… or handle it via Yahoo Live so you all can see what’s going down and who the TWO lucky winners will be.

I never have subscribed to any site before but when it comes to freebies I’d sell my soul.
So, I thought that if this is all it takes to give you a push in the back, why not, but you better deliver some quality posts on your blog or I want my money back, that’s $18.00.
And, does the free conference ticket come with a plain ticket for me to get there? Luckily a theme can be send by mail.
And to all those pathetic readers out there, get off your lazy bum and start subscribing!

@ Robin: LMAO! Okay everybody… Robin has got to be one of the most entertaining people I’ve met online. Hands down one of the coolest too. (Even though he admits to only being here for the freebies)
You price the ticket… and I’ll think about it. I see it now… I’m going to have to buy a $3,000.00 dollar plane ticket to get my stinken beer huh? Oh, and I’m going to go and check that subscriber list… if you’re not on it.. I don’t want to hear another peep outa you!

Count me in…..I was just looking at those premium themes the other day when I decided that you had put me to shame. Another great giveaway and I will do all that I can to drum up some interest in return for all the nice mentions that AP gets here!

It is 4:21 in the morning here. I don’t know if it’s an obsession yet… but handling the staff I manage, the projects I oversee, and the sales meetings I’ve got to attend through out the day… it gets a bit rough and so when I’m not doing one thing, I’m doing another!

@ Zania: It’s okay I promise! The fact of the matter is I love hanging out with all of you and my motivation is watching the traffic jump, comments increase, and my favorite… responding to your thoughts. I take pride in my comments because you all deserve it. Nothing more nothing less. You’re here for a reason, and I need to pull my weight. It’s my fuel, and it shows me you all are diggin’ what I’m doing here!
Since I’m all about building community, I’m also all about sharing. I’ve been blessed with a good job, so it allows me to do the little extras that some people can’t really afford just starting out.It’s something I’m proud of too.
I’ve offered free hosting, a $1,000.00 ticket to a bad ass conference, and now two premium themes… There are no sponsorships or donations here on PB. Everything I do is out of my pocket and that’s what sets me apart from many of the other guys. I don’t sell anything (including ad space). I’m here just for you guys.
This blog is supposed to be fun, and different. I wanted a place that you come to first thing in the morning with your cup of coffee, just to see what’s going on. I want this to be one of the most useful places you can come to learn the truth about blogging and make some awesome new friends at the same time.
I will always be open with you guys if you ask… never like the super secretive super bloggers! Sharing is the key to building relationships but I DO need your help.
I’m only one man, and I work 96 hours a week! This blog is my release, but promoting it properly, I just do not have the time I’d like. So, while I like to share, and give stuff away, I’m really asking for EVERYONES help by spreading the word about it.
It’s really more than just having a few subscribers. It’s building a great community of interesting individuals who are all interested in living their lives on the web. It’s awesome!
I haven’t littered the blog with social bookmarking links, or stumble requests, to keep the design the way I want and allowing you all a clutter free, easy read. But that means traffic and popularity will suffer…
That said, I’m okay with anyone who registers… but I’d be thrilled if you guys would talk about it a bit… you know, on your own, so that the fresh faces keep coming.
Yesterday alone, we brought in 950 unique visitors… not bad in a twelve hour time fame for a blog that’s been alive for a week now.
So, cheer up, I’m NOT offended and I hope that this might better explain why I’m looking for some great publicity from some great people.

@PB: I wrote a post ages ago, don’t know if you read it or not but it exlained my views on Entrecard. Basically, I am not one of these avid droppers who spend their time dropping cards etc. I use it as a way to drive traffic through stumbles, diggs and technorati. I could not be bothered with all that clicking so I bought a bunch of credits and advertised like crazy on the popular blogs in my field. I also buy stumbles which have produced in excess of 2000 hits in a day…..all for 150 credits or so. In that I see it usefullness. Just checked and saw 10,000 credits for $40 on ebay buy it now. Might be worth it just to spread the word initially. Not too fond of having the widgets thought thats the only thing.

I don’t know how well Entrecard works for the average visitor or for those random people who see an Entrecard widget but don’t use it, but for me, as an active user, I have really enjoyed finding random sites both in my niche and in other random niches that I find while Entrecard dropping.
