It’s Time for the News at PB’s Place
Well it’s Monday afternoon, it’s pouring down rain, and I’m busier than ever. Anyway I thought it would be a great way to start off the week, by talking a little bit about what’s been going and and where I’m heading. It’s all a part of my decision to be proactive in my business and so on the blog it goes.
I’m a Woo Themes Forum Ninja
As I’m sure you all have seen, I’m sporting a fancy new banner by the Woo Themes Team. This past week, the head honchos over there, including one of my all time favorite bloggers, Adii, asked if I would help out around the shop and help answer all those mysterious Woo Theme questions. WOW, what a tough job it is! However, I’ve got to say, that honestly it has got to be one of the best forums around. I know that Brian Gardner’s Revolution has some great support too, but man-o-man… The Woo Themes Team really nailed what it is to offer help a fellow blogger. So if you’d like my artistic and professional opinion… head on over there, scoop yourself up an awesome theme and start kicking blogosphere ass! Yeh, it be cool if you used one of MY links, I working on my monetization goals remember! LOL. Is your blog sexy?
An Ugly Stick Beatdown…. The Quick Version
Sometime last week, I got an e-mail from a guy named Troy or Tam or Twan or Twit… hell I can’t even remember the guys name… asking for an ugly stick beatdown. The funny thing is that he wanted a beatdown on himself. Entrepreneur I am, sadist, I am not… so after a little debate and a bit of arm wrestling… we settled on a fee for a quick mention here on Piss Biscuit. It’s all part of my business plan remember!
Tony… yeh, that’s his name… from RockinDaily.com wants all of you to go and visit his blog. Technically, I’m supposed to beat his blog down, since that is what he paid for, but since it was a partial fee, he gets a partial open handed slap rather than a full fledged uppercut. His blog is a bit boring. His Adsense ads slap you in the face as soon as you log on, so to me it screams monitization. Smells like a flip coming on, but that’s okay if that’s his plan. So in the spirit of showing Tom some love PB style, head on over to RockinDaily.com and leave some hate mail, spam, or even affiliate loaded links. He won’t mind a bit.
PB was up for sale at SitePoint
Some of you slicker site flipping masterminds might have found the listing of PB on sitepoint this past 10 days but now that it’s over I can make fun of myself for trying. I got a few e-mails, a couple of bids, and the auction closed at a whopping $750.00 bucks…LOL. I listed the site more for fun, however if the right buyer had come along, with the right money… I’d walk. But since it didn’t sell for anything worth bragging about, I’ll just jump back on my bandwagon and join the pitty party over at my favorite blogshpere bar… The Lesson Learned Watering Hole”. It was fun, but not very profitable.
Traffic Stats and More
It’s been quite a while since talking about traffic and the myriad of other little goodies that I like to look at, so I’ll throw it in here as part of the Monday warm up. I’m touching on about 63,000 page views, 312 unique visitors a day and growing strong. I hope the trend keeps up in which case I’ll stay motivated… it’s been a while since crying the blogger’s blues… I’d like to keep it that way!
If This Blog Could Talk
Bling Bling Joe from ImwithJoe.com interviewed me this past week for his latest creation IfThisBlogCouldTalk.com. I love the concept and I love what he’s doing with the design. I know the site has been saying “maintenance mode” for a while now, but now that I’ve made a big deal about it… he’ll just have to get his ass into gear. Let’s put the pressure on him people!
It’s Christmas in August
Our buddy Yan, who’s been a bit scarce around these parts lately is holding a pretty damn good contest if you haven’t heard. It’s called Christmas in August and between he and his awesome sponsors… he’s giving away quite a big bag of goodies. I guess I have missed quiet a lot here not knowing that you are putting up PB on Sitepoint. Just an experiment, is it not, PB?
Anyway, thanks for the shout. The contest is picking a pace but it’s less than what I have expected in the beginning. I guess the novelty of such contest is wearing off lately.
But then I have seen an increase in the no. of new subscribers, not many from the contestants anyway, the majority comes from a group of people I refer to as ‘the silent subscribers’.
So with or without the contest, it doesn’t really make much of a difference. It’s more fun participating in a contest than organizing one. I’ve been winning some cool prizes around the blogosphere in recent weeks..:-)
I’ll talk to you again, PB and I hope you will see more of me around here - again.

Nice man, thanks for the updates! And thanks for the kick in the rear…you know my plans man…and I’m about ready to unleash them! I’ve actually got some very major quirks worked out in the theme…so, things should get rolling….I’m gonna need all the pb beatdown loving and such man…when I move into launch mode…I think it will be fun and different!
Glad to see the Pisser is sticking around…ya bum! Sum bee slangin themes now! I need to check them out then huh?

Good site. I see your comments on I’m with Joe, so I thought I would check you out. Checked out RockinDaily. You should have given it to him. I bet it would have been fun. You have a solid writing style, funny, and seem to really know your material.
The sitepoint experiment was interesting. I guess it is good to know where you stand, just in case the right offer comes along. Just read another article Joe recommended about Flipping sites. Thought it was interesting and I definately will be checking out sitepoint. Never heard of it being that I am a newer blogger, but I am learning.
It would be nice “If this blog could talk” was up and live. I think Joe has a good concept and am excited to see it. Maybe he will get it off the shelf soon.
Any way PB, you may be seeing more of me around these parts. Learning, asking question, and growing that’s what I am all about.

@ Joe: Yep The Pisser will be around for a while… I think…LOL. You know that saying though. “Money talks. B.S. walks”. Ad for you sir… I know you’re in launch mode but I just wanted to remind you that you’ve got some great followers here and we can’t wait to see you kick it into full throttle.

As for DailyRockin… yeh I was gonna get him… but I just couldnt shorten it up enough with out losing it’s punching power. I’m new to this site, and I must say, it looks pretty nice. The new design is awesome, but everything else is just as good. I like how you didn’t go ahead and sell it for a cheap $750. Don’t worry, it’s going to be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made.

Don’t have the blues.
I am the one with the blues. My blog has been running for 6 months and only gets about 40 visitors per day. How is that for blues.
Granted I didn’t know what I was doing to start with, my blog has changed domain name…and topic over those 6 months.
But if you could give me any advice I would be stoked.
