I’ll show you mine if you show me yours!
Well this ought to be more fun than a barrel of drunk monkeys… Over the past few days, I’ve had a number of people, both at the office and here on PB, open up discussion on “About Me” pages. Now I know there are like 10 zillion posts out there talking about how important these small, sometimes obscure pages really are so lets forgo the same old stuff an try something new.
Let the fun begin…
We already know that PB just isn’t your normal hot spot right? We’re different, we’re fun, we’re a little off the wall sometimes… and we really wanna see pictures of your loved ones. Yep, you read it right, not you… your loved ones. I know some of you won’t ever admit this, but you know you’re curious to see what some of our significant others look like and so do millions of other bloggers! So in the spirit of traffic building and shamless self promotion, I propose that we offer up our special someone as… well… bait!
The making of a movie star…
You all all know what my ugly mug looks like, and I can see most of you all too… either on your about pages or on your gravatars… but what about the ladies and gents that hold our attention outside the wonderful world of blogs? Why have we forgotten about them? I think it’s time we change that and get some attention for it too. 
I know that the first blog Cassey ever setup, she felt like a movie star… and in some way, it actually helped her understand what it is that I do for a living. As of late she’s growing to understand how blogging can become so addictive. She’s not a blogger, but she’s always asking me to put a picture up so the world knows that I’m taken… I know cute, but a little to sappy right. So, in respect of her wishes, a picture it is!
You show me yours… I’ll show you mine.
I’m going to get a gallery going that shows gives a spot for your loved one, a little description on the blog of your choosing, and a little link love to boot. The purpose is simple… we’re going to so something no one else is really doing and nab droves (good word) of traffic at the same time. It’s my plan, I guess I’ll be the first… but I expect you all to follow suit… don’t leave me hangin’ out here!
The problem and the plan…
I don’t have any idea what to call this page so your ideas are needed and needed quick! Something tied into biscuits or piss or piss biscuits… LMAO… just doesn’t sound right does it? But who better to ask than you guys and gals. It’s got to be a slick title so it’s easy for all of our new traffic to find. It’s also got to be tasteful because they are… after all, our loved ones. So moving forward, if you all think it’ll be fun to make your loved one famous piss biscuit style… let me know, and I’ll get a little uploader ready, I’ll make a fun page and we can start playing around with it. Can’t you see it… hundreds of people a day visiting your blog just because you’ve offered up your loved one as bait… gotta love it and can’t wait for your thoughts!
Note to the pervs: Nothing sexual in nature… or overly personal please. Sexy is fine… we all like sexy, but make sure it’s something you’d want your momma to see. Okay? Good.

i don’t understand how this will work. you could just call it something simple, like love biscuits.. i dunno, it aint funny or catchy, but it’s too the point and simple.

Sorry about the feed reader hicups! I thought I saved this, but I published it instead. Oh well, that just means you get to help think about this more to make it work. LOL.
@ Nick: The point is this… visitors are ALWAYS intrigued with who is behind it all. Well, I want to take it to a whole different level by putting up a gallery with pictures of my readers loved ones. You know, girlfriends and boy friends, husbands and wives… so on and so forth.
Along with that picture of your cutie, will be little description of your blog. The objective is obviously to give the world something new to look at. Rather than my ugly mug, you can check out my lady.. then my blog… so why not offer the same thing to all of you?
I know some of you might be saying “this won’t work… but can you imagine how much traffic we all could earn from having a collection of beautiful ladies that “belong” to awesome bloggers!
It would be a sexier version of 45n5’s top 100 list!

mmm, interesting idea but not for me. The level of exposure I have reached now is far enough for me and I don’t feel the need to include my family in it, that’s just not my thing.
For me it’s actually strange because the videodemo’s I have on my site show bridescouples on what should be their happiest day of their life and i don’t even have a “about me” page on my site.
Actually that’s not relevant for me because most just see what I offer and what it costs, they don’t care what I have done in the past or how I look like.
I am really curious to see if you can pull this of, not everybody lives in a cave like me so you might get enough followers to fill your gallery. Let’s wish for the best but prepare for the worst.

I feel you there. I’ve gotten 11 e-mails already even though no one has publicly announced their support… which has me wondering about it myself.
I think it might be fun, but at the same time theirs something fun about a little mystery.
Might be to personal. We shall see, it’s still an open debate for me.

@ PB – Looks like it’s down to me to be the first, yet again, to say that I am in. I don’t know if it’s a cunning ploy to see my lady or not but hell, I like the idea and so does UBTC. I am actually going to follow her advice and post some pics of Britt up on my site – that is sure to get me more readers!! Her words not mine, but I agree it’s a good ploy.

Don’t know what you were planning on doing for the ‘piss list’, but I think the name is quite unique. I am all for anything with dirty words in it…so come on now, its gotta be the piss list! Maybe you will become uber famous for it one day and be called the piss guy or something. You will have an empire of piss. The piss list. the piss joint, the piss bar, I could go on forever, but I think you get the idea.
and as for your idea of 45n5 but way sexier, good work and count me in too.

In general, every body here loves the fact that I actually post rather than simply try to hustle some crappy product 
I’m taking bow… I like the headline too.
I’ll be taking care of your attention span issue soon enough. I’ll be introducing some pretty neat video posts this coming week so that might do the trick… even if you can’t watch it, you can leave it open in your background as you peruse around doing whatever it is that you like to do. See, Ive said it once and I’ll say it again… I’m a team player.
